The most polpular souvenirs in Poland
This is one of the
most polpular
souvenirs in
Poland. It is a
traditional, wooden
stick. You can buy
it in Zakopane in
the Polish
Mountains -
`Tatry`. It is a good
present for all
members of the
family. I really
recommend it to
everyone.
Ciupaga
Model of Wawel Castle
It is a stone figure. Wawel is
an architectural complex
erected over many centuries
atop a limestone outcrop on
the left bank of the Vistula
River in Kraków. It is a
popular place in Poland at
an altitude of 228 metres
above the sea level. It is a
place of great significance to
the Polish people. The Royal
Castle with an armoury and
the Cathedral is situated on
a hill. Polish Royalty and
many distinguished Poles
are buried in the Wawel
Cathedral. Royal coronations
took place there as well.
`Lajkonik`
The Lajkonik is one of
the unofficial symbols
of the city of Kraków in
Poland. It is
represented as a
bearded man
resembling a Tatar in a
characteristic pointed
hat, dressed in Mongol
attire, with a wooden
horse around his waist.
It is the subject of the
Lajkonik Festival that
takes place each year
on the first Thursday
after the religious
holiday of Corpus
Christi.

Highlanger slippers
made of sheepskin
decorated with
colouful embroidery.
They are the
traditional,
Highlander
souvenir. They are
very soft and
comfortable. They
are recommended
particularly to
those people who
like keeping warm.
