By Florida law any registered voter can vote-by-mail.• Request to Vote-By-Mail:A vote-by-mail ballot request may be made in person, by mail, by email, online via our website at VoteIndianRiver.com, or by telephone. One request can cover a specific election or all elections through the next two General Elections.
• Wednesday, August 24, 2016is the last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the Primary Election. • Returning your completed ballot: Include $0.68 cents postage and return your ballot by mail, deliver your ballot in person to the Elections Office or utilize one of our NEW vote-by-mail drop boxes.• Voted ballots must be signed and received by the Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7:00 pm on Election Day in order to be counted.

Proposing an amendment to the State Constitution to authorize the Legislature, by general law, to exempt from ad valorem taxation the assessed value of solar or renewable energy source devices subject to tangible personal property tax, and to authorize the Legislature, by general law, to prohibit consideration of such devices in assessing the value of real property for ad valorem taxation purposes. This amendment takes effect January 1, 2018, and expires on December 31, 2037.
