Contact us at 718-514-7534 for one or all of the events Bombazo Dance: Introduction to Afro-Caribbean Dance Participants will learn dance movements that are enriched with effective historical and instructional techniques relevant to past and current urban styles such as Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Hip Hop. Content will spot- light the Bomba, Afro Cuban-Orisha, African, Gaga and Palo. The workshop is open to anyone 18 years and older. Dress comfortably (no jeans or dresses). No prior dance experience needed. Free Live Drumming! About the instructor: Milteri Tucker Concepcion is a master dance educator, award winning Bronx choreographer and scholar. She is the founder and artistic director of Bombazo Dance Company, a leading Bronx dance group. Ms. Concepcion's company has performed on Broadway, Off Broadway, at the Latin Billboard Awards, Lincoln Center, City Center, Summer Stage, Pregones Theater, Hostos Center for the Performing Arts, Symphony Space, BAAD, Bronx Museum and various television networks such as WB11, MSNBC, Telemundo and Univision. This seven week workshop series focuses on the diversity of cultural dances from Africa and the Caribbean diaspora.
