Content will spot- light the Bomba, Afro Cuban-Orisha, African, Gaga and Palo. The workshop is open to anyone 18 years and older. Dress comfortably (no jeans or dresses). No prior dance experience needed. Free Live Drumming! About the instructor: Milteri Tucker Concepcion is a master dance educator, award winning Bronx choreographer and scholar. She is the founder and artistic director of Bombazo Dance Company, a leading Bronx dance group. Ms. Concepcion's company has performed on Broadway, Off Broadway, at the Latin Billboard Awards, Lincoln Center, City Center, Summer Stage, Pregones Theater, Hostos Center for the Performing Arts, Symphony Space, BAAD, Bronx Museum and various television networks such as WB11, MSNBC, Telemundo and Univision. This seven week workshop series focuses on the diversity of cultural dances from Africa and the Caribbean diaspora.
