Dear Parents and Carers, Happy New Year and thank you very much for our lovely Christmas cards and gifts! We are very grateful. We hope you have had an enjoyable break and welcome you back to a new term in Ash Class. We have already launched our new topic for this term, which has a science focus, and is called “From Out of the Shadows”. Please see the reverse of this page for a more detailed overview of this topic. Orange objectives in maths relate to Year 4 children only. Homework will continue to be sent home on a Friday and should be brought in the following Wednesday. The new choices for this term’s creative homework will be found in your child’s homework book on Friday. It should then be brought into school to share with the class on Tuesday 6th February 2017. Many thanks for your continued support with this; we saw some excellent and impressive creative homework at the end of last term. This term PE will usually be on a Wednesday. However, we are lucky enough to have some visitors coming into school this term so the children can try a range of different sports. As a result, our PE days may change so please ensure that your child has their named kit, including suitable footwear, in school every day. Finally, thank you very much to those of you who volunteered to help last term, both in class and walking to and from swimming and the carol service. It is very much appreciated and ensures that the children have the best learning opportunities. Kind regards, Miss K James Ash Class Teacher
