This Thing Called Life 5. MAIN POINT We are each, we are all, individualized experiences and expressions of the One, the Whole. This thing called me, the uniquely individualized, expression of infinite divine possibility. 6. Spiritual Substance of which Spirit is the Source and Supply; the active, creative force, taking form, demonstrating function, in the material universe. 9. THIS THING CALLED YOU A Divine Idea / Ideal. An individual experience and expression of the Divine Idea / Ideal. The epitome of being. The apex of creation, created in Divine image and likeness. 10. THIS THING CALLED YOU INDIVIDUAL: The true self; that which is undivided from God; our spiritual identity; the God part of us. That which characterizes one as a distinct entity or particular manifestation of Divine Principle. 11. THIS THING CALLED YOU PERSONALITY: The word personality as used by metaphysicians is contrasted with the word individuality. Individuality is the real; personality is the unreal, the mortal, the part of us that is governed by the sense consciousness of the natural man. 12. THIS THING CALLED YOU THE CHRIST: The Father, Divine Mind, had an idea of man, and this idea is his Son, the perfect man idea, the offspring of God-Mind. This Son is the Christ, the only begotten of the Father. The Son, being the express image and likeness of the Father. 13. SOUL Soul is man's consciousness. That which he has apprehended or developed out of Spirit; also the impressions that he has received from the outer world. Soul is both conscious and subconscious. Body is the form of expression of both spirit and soul. 14. CONSCIOUSNESS The sense of awareness, of knowing, or realization of any idea, object, or condition. The sum total of all ideas accumulated in and affecting man's present being that makes up the conscious, subconscious, and superconscious phases of mind. 15. TRUTH The Absolute, Divine Idea / Ideal. Truth abides in fullness at the core of mans being. As his consciousness expands, he touches the eternal Truth. What seems new is but the unveiling of that which always has been. 16. TRUE PRAYER In true prayer we take with us words of Truth / Affirmation, and turn our attention within to the very center of our being. We affirm these words of Truth and meditate on them, then get very still and wait in the silence for God to make them real to us (realized in us). 17. THE LAW OF BEING Divine Law is the orderly working out of the principles of Being / Divine Ideals, into expression and manifestation. Man, aligned with the law of right thought, works in perfect harmony with Divine Law, and thus paves the way into spiritual consciousness. 18. THIS THING CALLED LIFE "There is a pattern of perfection at the center of your being. Your intellect senses this through intuition.
