Liz, Darren, and Sofie Whiting, Myers and Reed Beaird in the death of Liz’s father, David Scruggs. Last Sunday, I was on the other side of the chancel rail as Dar- ren Wright shared an inspir- ing sermon echoing on Paul’s exhortation to “walk in love.” (Romans 14) A lovely ensem- ble graced our 8:15 a.m. cha- pel service with Rev. Having finished postsecondary study in healthcare management and medical billing and coding, she works fulltime for Tennessee On- cology and part-time at Tristar Centennial Hospital. She com- pleted Habitat’s training for home ownership and has helped build other Habitat houses. She is more than ready to quit renting for the house that we will help build. A note from Pastor Paul

On Saturday, October 21, vol-unteers from Belmont UMC will do rewarding work on our Habitat for Humanity home. We will work alongside volun-teers from West End UMC on a home that will belong to Dani-elle Beach. Danielle is a Nash-villian, raised in East Nashville and currently rents in Antioch with her 16-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son. Danielle is a bit of an overachiever.
