It’s given me an extra level of weather protection and improved my visibility. I’ve worn it over my normal jacket all winter, hence it looking so shabby. The reflective areas still work despite the grime and it’s not torn or ripped. The zips still work, which is impressive considering the hard use. The cuffs are adjustable, so they can fit inside or outside winter gloves depending on the conditions. What’s not? The reflective areas still work, but the fabric’s not the bright yellow it once was. The Velcro strap in the left cuff has snapped and the Velcro on the collar is worn. Note: Oxford claim the jacket is water-resistant, not waterproof. This fleece is hard to beat as the last layer before my riding kit where it adds insulation without adding bulk. The quality is what I’ve come to expect from the guys at EDZ – like other garments in their range, it’s made from top-notch materials with good-quality zips. It’s been through the wash a few times and hasn’t lost shape or bobbled. The plain, understated nature of the design means when I’m not on the bike it can be worn without any worries about looking out of place. What’s not? I really can’t find fault with this fleece, it’s great value for money and really good quality. What you are getting is something that can fool the casual observer into thinking you are sporting a Belstaff, but for a fraction of the price. It’s stood up to the test of time too; I have been using it for just under a year now and there are no real signs of wear. What’s not? There are vents but the material itself isn’t breathable. Filtering through heavy traffic during a ride through central London on my Scrambler last autumn I soon became uncomfortably warm and the lining felt clammy. Also, the belt buckle feels a bit on the cheap side of value.
