Amen “He calls the sheep by name.” MOSES “God’s Spokesperson” Week 1 Sunday, June 28, 2015 Fifth Sunday After Pentecost 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM COMMUNITY SHELTER DINNER - We are serving the evening meal to 25 veterans at the shelter on Sunday, July 5th. The group will meet at the church at 5:00 to complete preparations and leave for south Richmond at 5:30. Following dinner and rousing games of Bingo, we will return to the church at 8:00. Those interested in participating are asked to let Florence Hunt (744-4386) know of your availability on this holiday weekend. SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES - There are many things that occur behind the scenes to prepare for Sunday services. We are always looking for volunteers for the following: the Altar Guild, Communion Sunday (a volunteer preparing the elements the Saturday before, and clean up after service), greeters, ushers and communion servers. Please prayerfully consider where you can assist and contact Alice Lescault at [email protected] or 451-9895. KNIT WITS - The Knit Wits will be meeting the first Thursday in July and August and will resume their regular meetings in September. BATTER UP! - The church plays in a mildly competitive co-ed softball league open to ages 11 and older. The next game is Friday, 7/10 at 7 PM. Please contact Jeff Branyon at 320-3616 or [email protected]. BLOOD DRIVE - Sunday, July 26 from 8 AM to 12:00 PM. Sign up in Fellowship Hall or https://vadonor.org. For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact Elaine Grider at [email protected]. WALK-IN FOOD MINISTRY is scheduled for Monday, July 20th. Our church is responsible for the third Monday of every other month. The group leaves the church at 10 AM for Second Presbyterian Church to prepare and serve 150 plus lunches for those needing a hearty, healthy meal to start their week. The group returns around 1 PM. COMMUNITY SHELTER DINNER - We are serving the evening meal to 25 veterans at the shelter on Sunday, July 5th. The group will meet at the church at 5:00 to complete preparations and leave for south Richmond at 5:30. Following dinner and rousing games of Bingo, we will return to the church at 8:00. LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

We have Sunday School for children (ages 3 through 5th grade) in the lower level and youth and adult small groups at 9:00 AM. Children‟s Church for ages 4 to 4th grade takes place after children‟s time during the 10:30 AM Service. Childcare for infants

and children up to age 4 is available in the Nursery located in the hallway.

Rocking chairs are available in the rear of the Sanctuary for parents who would like to rock their infants and young children.

Please join us for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00 AM. Your coffee is welcome during morning worship!

TOOTH BRUSH/TOOTHPASTE COLLECTION - The Children and Family Ministries is collecting travel toothbrushes with toothpaste (the zipper packs found in travel-sized items section at Wal-Mart) for CARITAS. Please place donations in the bin in Fellowship Hall. Thank you!

MISSION TRIP DONATIONS - The youth group is looking for some donations of tools and supplies for our mission trips. We need paintbrushes in a variety of sizes |(2-5 inches), N-95 safety masks (we need 20) and roller covers (standard size). GOT A KROGER CARD? - Attention families who shop at Kroger!
