Dear Lovers of Beloved Baba in Andhra Pradesh,

We arenow functioning under its auspices. Avatar MeherBaba Andhra Centre is formed in accordance with theconstitution approved by the General Body of BabaIjovers of Andhra met at Kovvur, West Godavari Dt.»on 21—5 — 61.

We owe a deep d^ht of gratitude to our elderbrother, Shri Adi K. Irani,, Disciple and Secretary ofAvatar Meher Baba for the continuous guidance and

eDCouragement he has given us and to oar *Andhra>Mandali Brethein * for hearty co-operation they havegiven in tbis connection.

Now so much responsibility rests on this newlyconstituted A. M. B. Andhra Centre to revitalise all the

existing Centres and to revive the activities of the lessactive centres and also to form new centres in placesand districts so far untouched.

Sri Adi K. Irani is very phrticular that the diflFerentcentres in Andhra should try their level best to workas hoinogeneoas unim, affiliated to our Central Institu-tii^i Withta. uniform eonstitution and with one name SO \as to bring about proper understanding, harmony andSolidarity amongst all Baba—lovers of Andhra#What our Beloved Baba, expects from us all isunfettered love, open-mindedness, purity in thoughtw^sd and: deed,. Ibroad understanding, great patience, tolerance, humility, timely adjustment, helpful cooperation and selfless service with absolute dedication

and ctoniple^ surrender.unto Him. All lovers in whatever position and state they" ma'y bo placed m ust bewedded to one cause-^to think alike and to act-ineOjhesion tbrop^h love for all and surrender their all -Wi^h cf>pstant thought of Baha, to our Divine Beloved,by following His sacred precepts with unqualifying love, firm,|aith and one-pointed devotion.

Our Chief Function

The chief function of this Central Body is mainlyadvisory. It also renders help to the various centreswOrMug under its fold as affiliated bodies for thetIN cause of BAjlA. It shall endeavour to understandvatidua prehlems that confront the different eentree

'3

through correspond an ce and frequent meetings, shall offer proper advice and render all possible helpfor the progress of all the Meher Centres through-outAndhra. It solicits all helpful constructive ideas fromdifferent centres to strengthen its hands, so as to goahead with its aforesaid purpose and programmesunhampered. It finally serves as a means forcommon understanding, a venue for mutual adjustmentsand a rostrum for spreading the message of Love andTruth of our Beloved Baba.

Every congregation thus strengthens our love forBaba and all the more ennobles our evolving wisdomwith the rich experiences of the enlightened few, givingus greater incentive to do our Master's work more andmore eflBciently day after day.

Methods of Work

This Centre intends to supply free literature in the

shape of pamphlets, photo-prints and a few otherrequirements that are helpful to build up local infantcentres in different places. The Centre also intends to

send selected artists and speakers to different parts of

Andhra Pradesh to spread Baba's Name and His Message

of Love and Truth

We may mention here that to our great fortune,we have got a good number of able writers who havebeen devoting a lot of their precious time for the causeof Baba out of pure love. Their unstinted help andintense love for the Master are unique. Their valuableservices are now utilised by this Central Body to thebest advantage of its organisation and development.

Avatar Meher Journal

Our official-organ "AVATAR MEHER", a Telugiiand English monthly is being published from Eluru,West Godavari District, through which much light andgreat information about Baba's work in Andhraand His message of Love and Truth are spread.,Arrangements are being now made for its developmentso as to make it an efficient instrument of useful servicewith better quality to supply more valuable informationand satisfy t the needs of all Baba - lovers inAndhra. We hope to make it a first class journalwith articles of interest by eminent writers and improveits get-up and style so that it might be an authoritativeinstrument of service.

"Divya Vani" - Quarterly.

DIVYA VANI " is another Anglo - TeluguQuarterly journal, published since 10th July, 1961 byits Editor, Swami Satya Prakash Udaseen and issuedfrom Nidadavolu, West Godavari Dt., is greatlvdevoted to Beloved Baba's cause. It was startedwith Baba's Blessings and is run under the special careand directions of our Revered Brother, Shri AdiK. Irani Fortunately by Baba's Grace it hasalready attracted many lovers of Baba through mt thecountry and abroad as well by its neat get-up, niceexposition of Baba's Love messages and prominentarticles of eminent writers from all over the countryregarding Beloved Baba and His work as the Avatar ofthe Age. We hope most earnestly that all lovers of Babawill surely avail of its good services and render allpossible help for its development so as to make it anunique instrument of useful service in the cause ofBaba's work in Andhra and abroad.;

Bhagavat Vachanani

In support of its activities and those of its affiliatedcentres, this Centre hopes to undertake publicationof new and useful literature so as to educate the peopleabout Babaand His Work. It deems it as good fortuneto have to its credit the ''BHAGAVAT VACHANAM"the first Telugu translation of Baba's "GOD SPEAKS''by Shri Mosalikanti Tirumala Rao, (M.P.) who has thusrendered invaluable service to Andhra Public. This

needs our special mention. We therefore, offer ourthanks to our Brother Shri Tirumalarao on this occasion.

Meher Publications

We feel it mosb important to mention here theservices rendered during the last 6 years or more byM/S, MEHER PUBLIOATtONS (Andhra) PrivateLIMITED, Nidadavole, West Godavari District, whichhas published about half a dozen publications includingin English 'The Life of Meher Baba.' Our special thanksare due to our brother Sri I. C. Mallikharjuna Rao, theable Secretary and other Directors of the Company andit s share-holders whose real aim was more to servethe cause of Baba than earning profits. Weearnestly hope that all of them will whole-heartedlyco-operate with us to help our fellow brethern,to serve the needs and cater to the requirementsof Baba-lovers in Andhra in a more efficientmanner, by coming forward with their newschemes of publication at this most needy hour. W^eardently summon the attention of the various centresand its members to take real interest in the spread ofBaba's literature so as to enlist public support.

.6

Other Facilities

Some of the aforesaid facilities are available to allthe centres now and every effort will be made to makethem function more effectively so as to draw more andmore lovers of Baba into their fold by widening theirspheres of activities and radiating greater love andgreater knowledge Some have already formed studycircles and others have formed into regular centresforging new activities. We therefore solicit their wholehearted co-operation and unstinted help for this greatand noble cause we have undertaken. May our BelovedBaba's Blessings be with us all.

Main Task Ahead

Let us now draw the attention of our brethern tothe fact that the establishment of real working centresdepends on several factors like-(l) depth and intensityof love in the individuals; (2/ the state and the wayof life of the workers; (3) their spiritual discipline andsadhana and; (4) their environment and circumstancesthey live in etc., It may be possible to open a new centreif these factors are congenial but the growth of thecentre entirely depends upon the purity,'' love, selflessservice, sacrifice, humility and earnestness of thegroup-head and his colleagues. At the beginning or inthe later stage constant thought on Baba and seekingHis internal help is imperative to achieve most of ourcherished aims and aspirations The more we think ofHim, the greater love flows out through us,if only we have the true and unflinching faith and theundaunted will to work for Bis Sacred Cause. Butsmaller beginnings will bring greater victories in thelong run. Beloved Baba is ever by our side when we do

H:is work and hence thjere iB; no cause for any despairfor a faithful worker in the field, lec>v\ng all resultasunto Hirn.

Our great love foi: Baba with constant, rernembe-rance and a burning desire to carry on ojir Lord's workaccording to His instructions are enough to pave theway for the fpjrmation of a go,od centre for His, work..Along with the above qualities purity, sacrifice, prope^r understanding and njutual love are moreessential to present a living exanaple to people so as toattract others into our fold. The more we love .Baba, tlu' more we tighten our grip on Baba s "DsAman(Skirt). We gradually develop through Baba's LoveBlessings great determination> strength, courage andburning enthusiasm to go ahead witu the wprk for.Baba's cause inspite of Qverwhelming odds. This should;be our resolve. Baba. gives us help far beyond all pur-expectations. This has been our continuous experiencefor the last several years and hence there is no opcasipnfor any one to feel despondent under any circumstances. The Avatar of the Age is now alive and is always by:our side ever watching and ever - ready to respond, toour earnest call at every moment. Therefore in ourown interest we should not lose this golden opportunityto work for Baba selflessly, fearlessly and restlesslybefore He manifests Himself finally. Only we shouldwork hard for His.Gause by spreading His Name and HisMessage of Love and Truth like wild fire to every nookand corner of our holy land.

The time for His Full Manifestation is fasta^pproaching. It is hence high time for ns to girdleourselves to do our level best from now while Hephysically present anicpgst us and befqre He fullymanlfMts Mims.clf, SO that we might receive the highest

help when our Beloved Baba breaks His Great Silence.Everything depends on our preparedness andreadiness for that Glorious Event which is moreimminent now. A moment wasted is several liveslost Let us not bank on our intellectual self-sufficiency and self-pride. This leaves us in the lurchand lands us definetely in the mire of illusion. All thiscolossal and Universal Work of Baba is for the attenuation and elimination of the little self and ego and forachieving higher understanding of and merging in theall-pervading invoilabie, infinite, eternal. UniversalSelf, so as to enjoy conciously and e7erlastingly theSat-Chit-Anauds State.

W», therefore, appeal to our beloved brethern andsisters of Andhra, who have admiration for Baba, whohad the good fortune of seeing or meeting Him and whofeel convinced of His Avatar-hood and are inspired byHim, to strengthen their love by • carrying out Hissacred instructions with all love, faith, veneration, patience, courage and dedication. We musttherefore develop pure love and act in the LivingPresent and never postpone to the distant ̂ uncertainfuture with absolute surrender unt> Him. Ifc is butproper that all the lovers congregate and form intostudy-circles, meet often, know more and more aboutBaba, chant His glories, bring unto our fold new loversand share the experiences of Baba's love in day to daylife, by living the life of selflessne-ss, purity, humility, wisdom, service and sacrifice befitting ourselves asworthy lovers of Beloved Baba.

We will bo happy to offer our services to any of thecentres and their study circles and extend otheractivities in this direction by rendering allpossible help by way of supplying literature, or sending

9

artists and speakers to those who are in snch a needso that their love for Baba is stimulated into genuineand deep-rooted creative action preparing fcrcomplete surrender and selfless service. Tofecilitate this work, we are furnishing herewith thethe necessary information and details of the variouscentres Separately in order to guide all those who areinterested in Baba and His Work.

Finally we feel highly thankful to you all, whohave kindly bestowed "some attention to this appealand are pleased to take interest in the activities of ourCentre.

May Avatar Meher Baba, the Highest of the High, bless us all with Lo^e. Wisdom and Bliss and maythrough His Grace save us from all pit—falls and leadus unto Hi.n i^uickly ! '■

With Love-blessings of our Beloved Baba,
