Thank you for the Catholic Bible. It is beautiful and has helped me with my faith. It has been a long journey and it has put me on the track to rightness, faith, hope and goodness. Mark, HM Prison, Isle of Wight

CTS booklets are a lifeline for many of our poor men. RC Chaplain, Chelmsford Prison

The appreciation that the prisoners are prayerfully connected to the Church helps them to keep in mind that they are not forgotten and still a valued member of the Church. RC Chaplain Category B Men’s Prison

It gives Catholics on the outside responsibility to share their Faith with their less fortunate brothers and sisters who are imprisoned and in some cases these prisoners are themselves victims of circumstance and need that fellowship. RC Chaplain, Bronzefield Prison

I have been in prison now for 6 years and have another six to serve. Knowing that these booklets can come every month and that there is some generous and caring person praying for me outside is very comforting’ John (aged 29)

There are about 15,000 Catholics in prisons in England and Wales, and for many of them their time inside and away from home reawakens their faith in an amazing way. They are thirsty to find out more about the Catholic faith, and the CTS and its supporters have a crucial role in this. Faith is a big issue behind bars, and your support can be of real help to those who wish to become more confident in the truths of our Catholic faith.Father Roger Reader, Prison Adviser to the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales

NOTE: In the event that we are unable to supply the books you have requested we shall substitute similar publications. Also, in the event that donations exceed requests from prison Chaplains, your gift will be added to the General Fund and be used to support the work of CTS. Your donation covers the full costs including postage. CTS cannot claim Gift Aid on this Appeal.

We constantly receive requests from prison chaplains and prisoners for CTS resources, so we have decided to co-ordinate efforts into one major appeal. We ask you to give as much as you can for this Appeal to supply Catholic bibles and resources to those in prison. They are crying out for our support and we are aiming to respond to each and every request we receive from those in prison and their chaplains across the country.
