From the Halloween Panel - Slate (A):• Fussy cut (1) 22 ½” x 42 ½” strip centered on the panel.
From the Urban Legend - Orange (B), cut:• (5) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (72) 2 ½” squares.• (2) 2” x 42 ½” WOF strips, piece as needed.• (2) 2” x 25 ½” WOF strips.• (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 52 ½” strips.• (2) 1 ½” x 34 ½” WOF strips.• (4) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 65 ½” strips.• (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 47 ½” strips.• (7) 2 ½” x WOF for the binding.

From the Jack-o-lanterns - Black (K), cut:• (2) 5 ½” x 67 ½” LOF strips.• (2) 5 ½” x 47 ½” WOF strips, piece as needed.
From the Skulls - Black (Backing), cut:• (2) 85” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 65” x 85” back.
Block Assembly Note: The arrows in figures represent the fabric print direction. Pay attention to the fabric and unit orientations when assembling the various components.1. Sew (1) 2” x 42 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the 22 ½” x 42 ½” panel. Sew (1) 2” x 25 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 24 ½” x 44 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

2. Place (1) 2 ½” Fabric B square on the top right corner of (1) 4 ½” Fabric H square, right sides together (Fig. 2). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 2). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 3). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam.
3. Follow Figure 4 for the seam direction to add a 2 ½” Fabric B square to the lower right corner of the 4 ½” Fabric H square to make (1) Unit 1 square (Fig. 5).
4. Repeat Steps 2-3 to make (4) Unit 1 squares total.

6. Refer to Figure 19 and sew (11) assorted units together to make the Left Side Border. Refer to Figure 20 and sew (11) assorted units together to make the Right Side Border.
7. Refer to Figure 21 and sew (8) assorted units together to make the Top Border. Refer to Figure 22 and sew (8) assorted units together to make the Bottom Border.

Quilt Top Assembly (Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)8. Sew the Left, Right, Top and Bottom Borders to the sides, top and bottom of the Center Block.
9. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 52 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 34 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.
10. Sew (1) 6” x 54 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 6” x 45 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.
11. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 65 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 47 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.
12. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 67 ½” Fabric K strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 5 ½” Fabric D square to each end of (1) 5 ½” x 47 ½” Fabric K strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.
13. Layer and quilt as desired.
14. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.
15. Bind as desired.
