The aim of the EPTA classes is "to encourage, motivate and honour high levels of piano playing and piano teaching, and to promote musical awareness through participation in performing". EPTA hopes that these classes will inspire pupils to continue their efforts to communicate expressively and musically at the piano. Performers should ensure that the overall programme is contrasted and balanced. There is no age limit to these classes. Performers cannot enter more than one class from the group A16 - A21. Copies of the music must be brought for the adjudicator.
