March 11, 2020. All are welcome to join us.
ROSARY MAKERS
2nd Sunday of Lent: March 8 That we may learn the difference between what we want and what
we need, trusting that God will provide all that we need. “Go forth from the land of your kinsfolk and from your father’s
house to a land that I will show you.” (Genesis 12:1) God calls all of us to leave behind our old ways and to follow Him,
placing our complete trust in Him. Some of the old ways that we may have to struggle to leave behind might be materialism,
Selfishness, and greed. Yet God promises to show us a new land and a better way to live. Remember what St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “God does not call us to be successful, God calls us to be
faithful.”

40 DAYS FOR LIFE
Glory to you, O God of our journey! Your love calls us to be your people.
By sharing our many and diverse gifts we share in Your mission.
We ask you, Lord,
to shape us into a community of faith. Nourish us by Your Word and Sacraments, that we may grow into the image of Jesus.
Through the power of your Holy Spirit, and the blessings of our Parish Mission,
heal us that we, in turn, may heal the wounded.
Form us to be instruments of love, justice, and peace in our world;
give us courage to take up our crosses and follow your Son, Jesus;
and then send us out to proclaim Your wonderful works.
Amen
y seguir a tu hijo, Jesús; y luego envíanos a proclamar
tus maravillosas obras.
Amen
The Respect Life Committee is in need of a strong pro-life supporter who would be willing to take over the leadership of the committee. In these difficult but opportune times we would like to have the leadership of someone who is committed and enthusiastic and could guide St. Francis de Sales to even greater participation in pro-life activies, education and awareness. If you feel called to this ministry, please contact the SFdS office at 713-774-7475 or Mary Pesek at 713-459-6565 or email maryspesek@gmail .com to your name or ask questions.
