Dandenong. A group of enthusiastic LabRat members descended upon the Dandenong Library on November 14 armed with T-Rex fossils, thunder, slime, and their winning smiles. All in a bid to share their love of learning all things curious with other children. A first of its kind for the LabRats, this kids-teaching-kids outreach event proved to be a rousing success, and everyone involved in this science carnival walked away a little more curious.

Carnival of the Curious

What is better than explosions, self-inflating balloons, and dancing fluids? It’s doing all of these together with family and friends!‘Family Science Nights’ is a growing trend in schools to provide an opportunity for children and their families to learn and play together. When schools organise programmes like this, they foster a community of curiosity and prepare young minds for the learning of the science.

‘The students and parents were totally enthralled.’

‘..has been phenomenal’ Bundoora Primary School
