Today you will work on your vocabulary terms. You should follow the same format as you did on the last set of words. You divide your paper into 4 equal section. You will have the vocabulary word in the center of your paper (index card) and your will
1. Write the definitions today on each of your cards2. You will Draw a picture to represent the word3. You will write down like terms (what words come to
your mind when you think of the word?)4. Write a well- developed sentence with each word.
These will be due next week. Use your time wisely in class.

Humanism
An outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. Humanist beliefs stress the potential value and goodness of human beings, emphasize common human needs, and seek solely rational ways of solving human problems..
City State
a city that with its surrounding territory forms an independent state.
TRADE
involves the transfer of the ownership of goods or services from one person or entity to another in exchange for other goods or services or for money.
Merchant
a person or company involved in wholesale trade, especially one dealing with foreign countries or supplying merchandise to a particular trade."the area's leading timber merchant"
Far East
The region encompassing East Asia, Southeast Asia, and sometimes South Asia.
