Dear Holy Trinity School Families,
Can you believe it? This week marks our fourth week of being back in school and open for in-person instruction five days a week, despite all the challenges and hurdles we have had to overcome for a safe reopening of our wonderful school. I know it has been a unique start, but I am hopeful and have faith that things will get better. The best way to make it through challenging times, is to focus our energy in being grateful for our many blessings.
Just being able to welcome the children back to school everyday and witness the joy of our students being able to learn, pray, eat, and play together in person on campus has truly been one of our greatest blessings. It has definitely not been easy and we have had to make so many changes to ensure that the health and safety of our entire school community is the highest priority. Thank you for continuing to partner with us so that we may continue to keep our school safe and open throughout this global pandemic.
In order to stay up to date and informed, I have been attending the weekly virtual telebrief meetings led by the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency every Tuesday morning. On September 22, the State announced that San Diego County will remain in Tier 2 (Red) for at least 14 days. Let us continue to do our part by: washing our hands and promoting healthy practices, staying six feet apart, wearing a face covering, avoiding crowds and staying home if you are sick. The California Department of Public Health will assess counties on a weekly basis and the next report is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29th.
In addition to practicing gratitude during these difficult times, leaning on our Catholic faith will help us overcome this adversity we are all facing. We will continue to find ways to build community during this unprecedented time. Starting tomorrow, Friday, September 25, we will begin streaming our weekly School Liturgy so that our school families may also join us in prayer and celebration of our faith from a safe distance . A private link will be shared with you every Friday morning if you are interested in attending our weekly school wide Liturgy.
As mentioned in our newsletter last week, we encourage you to put faith into action at the “Unite Our Nation” event next Saturday, October 10th, to give witness to others that even in difficult times, people of all races and beliefs can come together under the watchful eye of Our Lord through the intercession of the Blessed Mother. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. God will see us through because God is good...all the time! And all the time...God is good!
All the Best, Mrs. Marentez

SCHOOL PICTURE DAY
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29! Students participating in distance learning
are asked to call the school office for
directives.
3
Half day Wednesdays
will begin October 7.
There will be no charge
for extended care from
12 noon to 3pm.
Thereafter, regular
charges will be accessed.
Typically, we do not have hot lunch on 12 noon dismissal
days. We discontinued sales on half days because too many
students were forgetting to pick up their lunch before
leaving school.
We will be keeping hot lunch on Wednesdays for the month
of October and see how it goes.
Friday, October 2 is a full day of school. At the time of the
October menu distribution, we were unaware it would be a
full day. Please make sure your child has a lunch on this
day.
