13 | Migration and Compatibility

Migration and CompatibilityThe following information provides migration procedures or compatibility issues for this release of ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Database.

This section provides information about the compatibility of the adapter and its data migration support for other TIBCO applications.

The configuration in an earlier release, which is not supported in this release, is ignored during migration and not used by the adapter.

The following migration process is specific to the projects in TIBCO Designer

Note: Make a backup copy of the project before starting the migration process.

Migrating from Release 7.2.0 to 7.3.0When you migrate projects to this release from version 7.2.0, note the following points:

l You can deploy ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Database 7.3.0 by using TIBCO Administrator version 5.12.x.

l You can deploy EAR files created from version 7.2.0 by using ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Database version 7.3.0.

AADB-7925 An error occurs when RPC service is configured on Oracle database.

AADB-7883 There is a delay in running a stored procedure that is configured with an adapter service.

AADB-7864 The following error occurs because of slow record processing:

"JMS error: Message not delivered"

AADB-7828 The following error occurs when you try to add a table in a service:

"This driver is locked for use with embedded applications"

AADB-7803 You are not able to fetch data from a table that has null values for integer or DateTime columns.

AADB-7770 The adapter agent does not start after installing the hotfix.

AADB-7769 Even if the user key column is set to null, a duplicate message is being inserted into the database.

AADB-7761 The adb.setEmptyStringToDefault property is not available for using with the IBM DB2 database.

Key Summary

AADB-7707 The environment variable tibco.env.CUSTOM_CP_EXT in the adbagent.tra file is overwritten with the default value after installing the hotfix.

AADB-7703 The milliseconds part in the timestamp is not printed as expected in the DateTime data when you receive transactions from the database.

AADB-7687 The timestamp format for Published messages in the parent table is different from the format in the child table.

AADB-7682 An error occurs when you fetch data from the child table.

AADB-7676 When you run a process that has a request-response service two times, a timeout error occurs when running the same process for the third time.

AADB-7672 The SSH handshake fails while connecting the adapter to EMS version 8.4.0 by using TLS version 1.2.0.

AADB-7664 The tibco.env.LD_LIBRARY_PATH tra property for the UNIX platform is missing in the adbagent.tra file.

AADB-7637 When you use Teradata version 16 with the ADB publication service, it locks the publishing table and prevents any insert or update operation on the source table.

AADB-7633 One of the message properties ae_tracking_info_1 is not set when you publish messages from the adapter to EMS.

AADB-7632 For the Teradata database, the XML data type is not supported for the subscription service.

AADB-7597 A null resultset is returned after you call a procedure in a specific scenario that uses the SQL Server connection.

AADB-7589 After the Database Administrator locks the database table for normal routine activities, the adapter loses the connection and you must restart it manually.

AADB-7570 You are not able to create a publication service for MS SQL Server with designer, if you use the Windows authentication method.

AADB-7567 ADB subscription service throws NullPointerException when the incoming message has user key set as the explicit null value for Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.

AADB-7555 Incorrect encoding data is inserted into an NVARCHAR2 column of Oracle DB, which has locale character setting.

AADB-7537 The TrackingInfo's appinfo is missing in the ADB reply message from the subscription service.

AADB-7483 An issue occurs at run time when you use a user name instead of the schema name and a complex data type.

AADB-7482 A null pointer error occurs if the user key is set as explicit null.

AADB-7477 The subscription service is not able to handle explicit null in Teradata database.

AADB-7472 The Config Details tab does not show the connection details.

AADB-7424 When the UserName and Password fields are empty, you cannot finish and save the ADBConnection configuration.

AADB-7399 If you specify an explicit null value for an inbound message, the subscription service does not bind it when creating an SQL statement.
