58-year-old male.
FRACTURE
Type 43-C3 open fracture according to AO classification.
TREATMENT AND OUTCOME
Patient stimulated with Biostim® therapy 35 days after surgery with axial external fixator. After two months of therapy, recovery of skin trophism. After three months of Biostim® therapy, union achieved. At nine months after the trauma, complete functional recovery.

Exposed type 43-C3 fracture.
Emergency surgery with axial external fixator (AEF). After 35 days, tibiotarsal joint unblocked to begin ankle kinesis. Biostim® therapy for three months.• After four months, gradual weight bearing and union. End of Biostim® therapy.• After five months, full weight bearing with AEF.• After seven months, fixator removal.• After nine months, full functional recovery.
