In the year 2017 Saint-Gobain Weber acquired E.Mix, a leader in Plaster & Mortar Solution in South-East Asia to accelerate its Industrial Mortar business in Malaysia; and regionally. • Concrete, Cement-Sand Render / Screed & Masonry surface must be well age, dry, sound, flat or true & free of contaminants eg. grease, oil, dust, loose particles, laitance etc.
• Steel / Metal surface must be free of scales, rust, grease, oil etc.
• Damp the surface before coating and sweep the excess water to avoid ponding on the horizontal area. This is particularly important if substrate exhibits a high degree of water suction. Rapid loss of moisture from the waterproof coating may result in pinholes, poor adhesion and overall weakened properties.

GOOD PRACTICE OF SUBSTRATEPREPARATION
1. Ensure substrate is clean and solid. Remove loose particles, grease and traces of foreign materials that may affect adhesion.
2. On dry absorbent substrate, the surface is moistened if necessary.
3. On concrete surfaces, it is recommended that a spatterdash coat be applied to the receiving substrate to provide better key for the render layer.

Tile Classification Based On Iso-13007
TYPE OF SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Must be level, in sound condition and of good cohesive strength. Install tiles with Weber Ceramic Tile Adhesive mixed with LatexAdmixture.
Building Boards such as plywood, cement-fibre board, chipboard etc. must be adequately braced to provide a sound / rigidsubstrate. Prime surface with Webermix SBR, before direct fixing with Weber Ceramic Tile Adhesive mixed with Latex Admixture.
It must be strong, rigid & strenghened by overlaying it with a 12 mm thick marine plywood, screw fixed at 300 mm centers to thejoists. Installation system for tiles, similar to “Building Boards”
Existing surface must be dry, sound & free of contaminants. Hollow sections should be removed and made good before directfixing with Weber Ceramic Tile Adhesive mixed with Latex Admixture.
Existing Vinyl Tile surface must be dry, sound & free of contaminants. Prime surface with Webermix SBR, before direct fixing withWeber Ceramic Tile Adhesive mixed with Latex Admixture.
Allow new cement-sand render or screed to cure for 2 - 3 weeks, before fixing tiles. The rendering or screeding mortar mix shouldideally be 1 part cemet : 3 - 4 parts of sand by volume.
Must be aged for 4 weeks and leveled with Cement-Sand Mortar (ie. weberwall AAC render) prior to fixing tiles. Direct tiling onflat surface can be conducted using proper adhesive solution. Prime Surface of AAC Blocks with weberprim AAC primer.
Must be aged for 4 weeks and leveled with Cement-Sand Mortar (Render) prior to fixing tiles. Direct fixing onto BlockWall is not recommended.
Must be aged for 6 weeks. Direct fixing onto concrete may be taken provided the surface is flat or true, well cured andfree of contamination. Surface primer may be required for direct fixing.
Must be age for 4 weeks and leveled with Cement-Sand Mortar (Render) prior of fixing tiles.
