Tim Colgan is the newest addition to the remediation sales team however not new to Carus.

As an avid Vikings fan, Tim was drawn to Carus by its potassium and sodium permanganates purple color. He now has over 26 years of experience at Carus Corporation, beginning his career in the CARULITE® catalyst R&D laboratory. Tim also has over 19 years of field experience in municipal applications and has conducted certified drinking water training in over 18 states.

Tim has held several positions at Carus including, Research Chemist, Market Development Specialist (CARULITE & CARUSORB), Industrial Applications Product Manager (CAIROX® & LIQUOX®), Electronics & Fine Chemicals Program Manager (CAIROX & LIQUOX, Phosphate Market Manager) Alexander Gases Manager (aHCl, SO2, Cl2, NH3) and most currently Regional Manager (municipal, industrial, CARULITE and remediation).

Tim graduated in 1990 from Southwest State University, Marshall, MN with an American Chemistry Council Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. While in college, He served in the student senate, was band president and tuba player extraordinaire. Tim resides in St Cloud, MN.

Publications/Presentations to date include: • Phosphates in Drinking Water and Wastewater Impact (2015), • The Hidden Energy Loss in Pipe (2003), • Corrosion, Color & Scale Control with Phosphates (2002), • Sodium and Potassium Permanganate for Plated-Through Hole Processing (1998), • Industrial Applications of Permanganate (1996).

Tim’s interests & hobbies include, hiking, fishing and music and spending time with his wife of 26 years and four children.
