Pew Research Center surveyindicates a similar pattern:Of the 20 issues US people were asked to rate in both January 2008 and January 2009, protecting the environment fell most sharply.
Just 41% rate this as a top
priority today, down from 56% a year ago.
ConclusionsThe decline in interest in Global Warming issues is unsurprising
at times when people are facing immediate economic threats.
