IWG’s provide participation in ASME codes and standards development without travel to North America and are recognized standing committees and operate to ASME process and procedures. IWG’s review, provide input, and vote on proposed changes to ASME codes and standard, including changes and additions, and have access to commentary and background documents, which provide insight to the technical basis for code requirements. This Workshop will introduce the IWG concept, benefits, and methods of forming and participating on an IWG in your home country or region. ASME Board on Nuclear Codes and Standards Thursday, July 10 — 8:30am-4:00pm The ASME Board on Nuclear Codes and Standards is responsible for the management of all ASME activities related to codes, standards and guides directly applicable to nuclear facilities and technology. The Board membership is comprised from a wide-variety of industry stakeholders representing the following committees: • Construction of Nuclear Facility Components (III) • Qualification of Mechanical Equipment Used in Nuclear Facilities • Cranes for Nuclear Facilities • Nuclear Inservice Inspection (XI) • Nuclear Air and Gas Treatment • Nuclear Risk Management (JCNRM) • Nuclear Quality Assurance • Operation and Maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants The meeting is open to the public and all interested parties and welcome to attend.
