We can teach our children the concept of honoring by talking to them about how we honor and respect our own parents and older family members when we listen to them, do what they ask us to do and show our love to them. A fun way to learn about honoring through obedience is to play “Mommy (or Daddy) Says” instead of Simon Says. Ladew Topiary Gardens Field Trip

April 2019

Dear Parents,

In April, we will be taking a field trip to Ladew Topiary Gardens. The “Signs of Spring” lesson will cover sprouting and blooming plants, pollination, animal growth and the relationships between plants and animals, which will supplement the plant and animal unit we cover at school in April. The program includes an exploration of the gardens led by Ladew instructors and volunteers. Students will be provided a scavenger hunt to help guide them and emphasize some signs of the season. You are welcome to bring bagged lunches if you’d like to eat in the designated lunch areas after your scheduled field trip time. You are also free to walk the grounds of the beautiful garden on your own after the program. Details of the trip are:

Date: Monday, April 29, 2019

Time: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Cost: $6.00 per child; $8.00 for adults Ladew Gardens does not allow siblings on this trip.

Please place the slip below, along with your cash or check made out to Tiny Tot School in an envelope marked with your child’s name in the box outside the classroom door by Wednesday, April 10th. We look forward to this fun and educational experience at Ladew Gardens. Sincerely, Tiny Tot Staff
