NAME ;- NITESH BHARDWAJ CLASS -> IX B ROLL NO ->24 SUBJECT -> SCIENCE

WHAT IS THE

TISSUE ?

A Group of Cells that are similar in structure and / or work together to achieve a particular function forms a tissues .

ARE PLANTS AND ANIMALS

MADE OF SOME TYPE OF TISSUES?

No, The Plants and Animals are made up of different kind of tissues. Some factors responsible for these differences are :-• Plants cannot be move while

animals can be moves.• There is a structural difference

between plants and animals .

TYPES OF

TISSUES

There are two types of tissues • Animals• Plants

Apical meristem

Intercalarymeristem

Lateralmeristem

MERISTEMATIC :- Meristematic tissues is the dividing tissues present in the growing regions of the plants

APICAL MERISTEM :- Apical meristem is present at the growing tips of stems and roots and increases the length of the stem and the root.

The girth of the stem or root increases due to lateral meristem (cambium).

Intercalary meristem is the meristem at the base of the leaves or internodes (on either side of the node ) on twigs.

LATERAL MERISTEM :-

INTERCALARY MERISTEM :-

PERMANENT TISSUES :- Are Derived From Meristematic Tissues Once They Lose The Ability To Divide. They Are Classified As Simple And Complex Tissues.

Simple tissues :- Parenchyma , Collenchyma And Sclerenchyma Are Three Types of Simple Tissues.

COMPLEX TISSUES :- Xylem And Phloem Are Types Of Complex Tissues
