Leutschenbach School Zurich, SwitzerlandThe facade which is composed of steel structures needed to be protected against fire and reach the fire resistance of R30 and R60. After the evaluation carried out among planners, Steel frame constructor and owner, Sika Pyroplast was chosen to be the right fire protection system for the facade. About 1,100 tonnes fire protection material were applied to the load-bearing steel framework, covering altogether five floors including the structures inside and outside the building.

Rowland Institute Cambridge, Massachusetts, USAThe Rowland Institute at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts had W.S. Aiken Roofing to deliver a highly sustainable solution with Sika Sarnafil’s system to their roofing problems by installing a green roof and recycling the older existing vinyl roof. The project size is 35,000 square feet.

Ground Water Reservoir Kleine Scheidegg, SwitzerlandThis new-construction project is located at the upper part of Kleine Scheidegg, over 2’100 m above the sea level. Its usable capacity is more than 72’000 m3. This project has difficult conditions because of its location in a high mountain, because the waterproofing membrane should bear big temperature difference: in the morning below 0 degree, while in the afternoon up to 30 degrees.
