2. Footer
Issue: PowerPoint 2007 handles the footer field differently than earlier versions of PowerPoint do.
Problem: Power Point 2007 adds the footer on each slide and if you want to change it, you have to do
it on each slide. Also if you add slides from different presentations, the footer could be different on each slide
Solution: We inserted the footer in the MASTER as a text field But now you have to delete the old footer from each slide

3. Color Palette – Halftone Values
Issue: PowerPoint 2007 offers halftone values in the color palette
Problem: There are not on brand
Solution: use the halftone values from the PowerPoint 2007 color palette these halftone values are generated automatically from PowerPoint 2007 and they
replace the halftone values from the branding guideline (approved by branding team)

Develop Readable Slides
Lecture sessions will not have handouts printed this year. However, they will be available to attendees for download the week before the conference. Please make sure slides are not too small to read and can be seen from the back of the room, since not all attendees will bring printouts.
Use Powerpoint 2007
Do not use background images behind text, as they make printed handouts difficult to read.
Use no less than 18 point font size for optimum readability.
The fewer words the better.
Graphically represent as much data as you can.
