DEFINITION
OF
DEVELOPMENT
Development is the meaningful involvement
of people in your mission and vision for the
future.
4
RIPPLES IN THE POND THEORY
• 1st Ripple: The 75-100 people that are always
with you.
• 2nd Ripple: 100 or more people that would
love to get involved but they don’t because
of one basic reason: no one invites them –
personally.
5
RIPPLES IN THE POND THEORY
• 3rd Ripple: Another 100+ people who would
like to get involved but we don’t know them.
• 4th Ripple: Many more people who would
like to get involved, but we don’t know their
gifts, talents, resources, interests or
connections.
