1. About TL 9000 WG

TL 9000 WG is an activity group in QMS Committee

for the purpose of

improving product & service quality of member companies

through

- studying domestic and international trends,

- analysis and information-sharing

relevant with TL 9000-related items.

1) Information on New Work Item Proposal (NWIP) submitted and discussed for sector standardization of TL 9000 at the ISO/TC176

San Francisco General Meeting held in September 1999.

2) TL 9000 telecommunications sector standard WGwas launched in the TC176 Domestic Task Force in response to the request of

the former Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in August 1999 for preparing of the direction toward the standardization in Japan.

3) CIAJ committee memberswere joined for the WG mentioned above, and set up the TL 9000 WG within QMS committee in August 1999.

For the purpose of providing for valuable information, trends survey and study of TL 9000 activities were conducted with these committee members.

TL 9000 WG is one of the task research group

taking partial charge of QMS Committee functions

<Basic Principle of QMS Committee>Contribute to development of the communication device industry by supporting their product quality improvement activities through QMS.

・Reflecting international standardization and technology trends

・Contribute to member companies
