PROPERTY HISTORY
1993 - Mr. R. K. Germundson - Geological Report on the A&A Mining Group, can be seen at the Regional Assessment Office.
1994 - Miss Wendy K. Weller - Detail Magnetometer ,and Electromagnetic Surveys on the A&A Mining ~laims, can be seen at the Regional Assessment Office.
REGIONAL GEOLOGY
The general area, which includes Elliott and Clifford Townships, is underlain by Archean Volcanic Suites belonging to the Abitibi Subprovince, Superior Province of the Canadian Shield. The volcanic rocks are intruded by a variety of related mafic to felsic stocks sills and dykes. Later Precambrian dykes of diabasic composition and texture trend in a north-westerly, northerly or northeasterly direction and have filled in along pre-existing structures (see Jansen, 1975 and 1978).
The genera 1 area can be defi ned as being hounded on the south by the Larder Lake Fault and on the north by the OestorPorcupine Fault, both regional, east-west trending structures along which are major gold mining camps such as Timmins, Harker-Holloway, Kirkland Lake, Virginiatown and Val O'or. A major east-west trending syclinor;um is present between the two faults. The younger Slake River Group is flanked on the north and the south by rocks of the Kinojevis Group. (See Geological Setting). The southern contact between the two groups is much more structurally affected than is the northern contact.
Rocks of the Kinojevis Group are to a large extent composed of iron tholeiites. Such iron-rich composition is reflected in bands of high magnetic susceptibility alternating with bands of lesser magnetism. The weaker zones of magnetism outline sequences of sediments and/or calc-alkaline volcanics. The contact with the overlying Btake River Group can be defined from air magnetic data, however a Zone of vertical gradation up to a mile wide mayor may not be present. Subtle magnetic variations which may represent economically significant features (Kimberlite pipes or alteration zones) can easily be masked within the Kinojevis Group.
Blake River Volcanic Rocks are composed of calc-alkaline minerals. Massive and pillow flows occur in sequence with pillow and pyroclastic breccia and lapilti and ash tuff. Chemically they represent rhyolite, dacite, andesite and basalt. Rocks of the Blake River Group underlie the base metal camp of Noranda, Quebec. Eastern Clifford and Ben Nevis Townships have several base metal showings as well as rela tively more bed rock exposures then has the AM Group.

Little magnetic expression is present over the Blake River Group. Because of this circular and linear magnetic bodies are traceable over great distances. Certain discrete circular features defined by higher magnetic susceptibility are known to be Kimberlites. The loci; of emplacement for kimberlites is structurally controlled (Brurrmer et al, 1992 and 1':'92). A cluster of seven kirnberl.ites Occurs between 10 and 19 kilometers south of the A&A Claims (see erummer, ~ .£!h and HcCl enaghan, 1993). .
«North-south trending structural elements have been identified as important factors in the localization of Kimberlite bodies». (Barron, 1992). The Canyon-Esker Lakes Fault extends from north of The New Buffonta Property towards the south. It is overlain by the Munro Esker for at least 25 kilometers in Clffford, Arnold and Gauthier Townships, south from Highway 66. It crosses both the Destor~Porcupine and the Larder Lake faults. four pipes are located adjacent to it in Arnold Township. Kimberlite dykes also occur adjacent to major structures.
To date, the search for Kimberlites has been related to selecting high magnetic, circular features from airborne data. Recall that Kimberlite pipes can be defined by relatively low magnetism, by no magnetic variation and with or without a conductivity expression. Similar scenarios can be developed for both gold and base metal models.
TOPOGRAPHY
The claim unit covers eight mining claims. There are three large exposed outcrop showings in this unit. A large c,"eek crosses the property with many small drainage creeks feeding into this creek. The vegetation ranges from pine, balsam, alder boggs to open timber cut areas. The BarricK hydro line runs north through the claim group.
2005 - .£35 ~GNETOMETER/ELECTROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
a) McPhar GP81 Proton Magnetometer
This system uses a backward motion of spinning protons of a hydrogen atom within fluid of hydrogen and carbon. These spinning magnetic protons are caused to have two opposite poles by applying a magnetic field using a current within a coil of wire. When the current is stopped, the protons precess about the earth1s magnetic field and in turn generata a small current in the wire. The frequency is proportional to'the earth's total magnetic field.
The instrument used for this survey was a HcPhar GP-81 Proton Magnetometer. More information about the survey and instrument can be found on the Technical Data form found in the back of this report.
b) Geonics EM-16
The VLF-EM metnod uses as a source, one of the main submarine
-4-
communication transmitters 1n the 15 to 25 kHz band found throughout the world.
VLF instruments are capable of picking up these structures that change the direction of the waves by using the tilt angle of the major axis of the polarization ellipse. The direction of tilt indicates the direction of the conductor.
The VLF easily illustrates the location of the upper limit of dipping structures which can be seen or plotted as VLF profiles as areas of greatest change in tilt angle per unit of distance.
The instrument used in this survey was a Geonics EM-16.
The two stations used were Seattle, Wash. 24.8 kHz and Annapolis, I~~ryland, 21.4 kHz .. More information about the survey and instrument can be found on the Technical Data Form in the back of this report.
OBSERVATION AND CONCLUSIONS
Magnetic Surve~ 2005:
The magnetic relief varied between 57,006 and 61,848 gammas (four thousand eight hundred and forty two gammas) 4,842 gammas.
The datumn was substracted at 57,000 gammas.
The field Map No. CE35/2005/mag can be found at the back of this report. The magnetic trend is northeast to east direction.
In this detailed survey there are many high magnetic circular anomalies noted. On the west side of the Barrick Hydro line a low magnetic trend is interrupted by two large high magnetic bands (Iron-rich tholeiitic) There are four large overburdened outcrops throughout this grid, with three large creek ravines. (dr.ainage system to the Magusi River). In the south end of the grid (L-4205310) these ravines may indicate east/west smaller faults extending off the large north/so~th fault noted in the new north/south survey.
Electromagnetic Survey:
The field data is presented on a map at a horizontal scale of 1:2500, Map No. CE35/2005/vlf. Seattle, Washington was used in this survey.
Seattle, Washington showed 3 anomalies in the survey.
Q1 - Crosses PL600S 625E to PL1400S 495E. The topography of the area ranges from the west cliff face in the south end of the grid to flat black spruce bogg. The magnetic relief shows high magnetic anomalies which probably is iron-rich tholeiitic bands.
CONCLUSIONS
-5-
Q2 - Crosses PLIOOOS 360E to PL16S0S 310E. The topography of the area ranges from the steep south side of a large overbuden outcrop to crossing the two steep creek ravines in L-4203510. Also the magnetic relief shows a~~igh magnetic anomalie which is probably iron-rich tholeiitic bands.
Q3 - Crosses PLSOOS 700E to PL1200S 66SE. The topography of the area ranges from fl,at red pine, spruce to the east side of a smaller overburdened outcrop. The magnetic relief shows a high magnetic band (iron-rich tholeiitic bands).
Since there has not been a Geological Survey run over this ground in the past and due to the results of both the magnetic and electromagnetic surveys, a vertical loop EM unit should be run to further clarify the origins of the magnetic high and low systems.
A small stripping and trenching program to help clarify the origins of the electromagnetic conductors is being looked at.

Respectfully submitted,
Miss Wendy K. Weller Geotech
