Tip: Use the cutout post to help with correct placement so the word is not too far to the right. Step 2 With Gray Flannel marker, ink entire stamp using the side of the brush tip. Work quickly and go over entire stamp at least twice then immediately press onto tan card stock. Trick: Using the Memento marker instead of an ink pad gives the desired dark and light effect to the brick mortar. Marker technique for the following Steps 4 and 5: Color with Memento markers using the side of the brush tip in a horizontal direction with quick, loose motions. Avoid coloring the word. Step 4 With Love Letter marker, make short, slightly curving upwards marks along bottom edge of the majority of bricks. Step 5 With Toffee Crunch marker, make short marks over most individual bricks. Step 6 Spray Goosebumps 4 to 6 times, approximately 8” to 12” away from brick image. Allow to dry completely. Step 7 Using StazOn Cherry Red, lightly rub the ink pad over the GooseBumps. This will enhance the texture by making the raised portion of the bumps colored instead of clear. The texture will remain shiny when dry. Step 8 Using a torn edge technique, make brick image 3” X 4 1/8”. Torn edge technique: fold and crease paper on front and back then, with image facing you, tear along the crease keeping the image steady and pulling the edge towards you. This method will cause the color of the paper to show along the torn edge which will create a tiny “frame” of contrasting color. Step 9 Glue brick image to card in the center of Lattice Rectangle. Step 10 Cut off pointed tip of Elegant Post, (save). Trim post to fit card and word then glue tip onto cut end of post. Glue entire post to card underneath the word as shown. Tip: leave a little brick showing underneath the word for legibility.
