Software installation

Download TM1 CAFÉ with this link (or contact Merlijn Jansen mjansen@autobinck.com +3170-3337477)

Unpack the TM1CAFE.tar file with rar or 7-zip at random location

Go to win32 directory and start issetup.exe (as administrator)

Select your language

Go through the installation and install TM1 CAFE

After finishing the installation, (re)launch excel

Check if the excel add-in IBM Cognos is visible in the menu

Setup excel add-in

Click IBM Cognos

Click IBM Cognos Analysis

Relaunch Excel

Click IBM Cognos again and go to options

Click add and fill in the following in the popup window:

Select IBM Cognos TM1

System URL: http://tm1.autobinck.com/

Name: TM1 Server

Click Test connection and ensure successful connection

Click save

Click on IBM Cognos Analysis o Enable preserve user formulas o Increase row limit to 500000 by adding “000” o Click OK

Installation and setup is finished and TM1 CAFÉ is ready for use

Launch ACDR in TM1 CAFE

Start Excel, go to IBM Cognos menu

Click IBM Cognos

Click IBM Cognos Analysis

Open Package

select Autobinck and logon with your TM1 login

Select ACDR and click OK

Start using default views in TM1 CAFE

Launch ACDR in TM1 Café (previous chapter)

Double click views

Click on Create a new crosstab

Click on a default view (for example “1 Forecast P&L per department”)

Drag the view to the crosstab and release in the white window

Change the dimensions in the context pane to your likes (Company, Costcenter, etc)

Change language in TM1 CAFE

Close excel (or ensure it is not started)

Go to Start in the windows desktop where you would to change the language of your TM1 CAFÉ app

Type ‘region’ (or ‘language’ or the key-word in your language..)

Select ‘Region and Language’

In the first tab of the popup window you can change the format

Select the dropdown box and select the language to your likes (Czech, Hungarian, English, Slovenian, etc)

Select ‘Apply’

Click ‘OK’

Start Excel
