Package 3-A Date: March 17, 2016 Background: McCownGordon Construction has partnered with BG Consultants and LST Engineers on bond construction package 3-A which includes the Broken Arrow, Prairie Park, Quail Run, and Sunflower Elementary School projects. At its December 9, 2013 meeting, the Board of Education approved the owner-construction management at-risk services agreement for USD 497 2013 Bond Issue Projects with McCownGordon Construction. Bids were received at McCownGordon’s office on February 4, 2016 for Package 3-A. This package includes five (5) months of general conditions, expenses associated with allowances, earthwork, utilities, site improvements, concrete, steel, drywall, ceilings, paint, flooring and HVAC. The Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) is for the additions and renovations to the existing Sunflower Elementary School, as well as renovations to Prairie Park, Broken Arrow and Quail Run Elementary Schools. A construction contingency of 3% is included. The cost to complete the work is outlined below and is coming to the board for approval.

Recommendation: The Facility Planning Committee recommends board approval of the owner-construction management at-risk services agreement for USD 497 2013 Bond Issue Projects with McCownGordon Construction due to the bids associated with the bond construction at Broken Arrow, Prairie Park, Quail Run and Sunflower Elementary Schools. Motion: “I move the Board of Education approve the owner-construction management at-risk services agreement with McCownGordon Construction in the amount of $5,906,380 due to the bids associated with the bond construction at Broken Arrow, Prairie Park, Quail Run and Sunflower Elementary Schools.”
