wind speed, light intensity,

wind direction, blade pitch, …

for an in-depth understanding

of the interrelationships in-

volved and how these affect

energy production.

The Controller (RES2-SW) in-

cludes an off grid inverter

which connects with the Wind

Unit (RES2-W) and the Solar

Unit (RES2-S). Utilizing the

Controller, measurements and

real time graphical data may

be generated for wind velocity,

voltage, current, power, light

intensity, solar panel tempera-

ture, and turbine angular ve-

locity.

Several AC and DC loads are

provided for various exercises.

A battery charge controller is

also included in the Controller

Unit.

The 40 watt Solar Unit has a

variable light source for in-

door use plus an extra solar

panel for outdoor use.

The Wind Unit has been

scaled (based on the power

equation for a wind turbine)

to be used in the laboratory.

A variable speed fan is used

to control wind velocity.

Wind direction and blade

pitch are also adjustable.

Model RES2 includes all

Future Tek Troubleshooting Trainers connect via USB to your laptop

computer and include our Troubleshooting Software. The computer

emulates each circuit and allows timed, interactive troubleshooting.

Fault selection may be made by the instructor or randomly with the

software provided. In solving the inserted faults, the student takes

voltage or resistance readings with the leads provided. Once the

problem is isolated, corrective action is taken and the system retested

to confirm recovery. Each measurement and corrective action is auto-

matically recorded. A Detailed Student Report may be generated,

specific for each student, detailing by fault: the time utilized, the

number of voltage and resistance measurements performed, the

number of components replaced, and if the fault was corrected.

The Model 7100 Motor Control Troubleshooting Trainer includes

Three Wire Control Circuit, Multiple Station Control Circuit, Reversing

Starter Control Circuit, Compelling Control Circuit, Sequence Control

Circuit, and Control Station. Total Faults Available = 152

The Model 7100-P1 Motor Control/PLC Troubleshooting Trainer al-

lows Circuit Correction plus fault resolution at the Ladder Logic level.

Model 1232-DE Universal Communications PLC System

As with all Future Tek PLC Training Systems, Model 1232-DE allows the

use of built-in banana jacks to connect to real world devices or demon-

stration with on-board simulators.

Future Tek’s newest addition to our PLC training line, Model 1232-DE,

offers the ability to communicate utilizing DeviceNet, EtherNet, or

RS232-DF1 in one portable system. Included in the system are the fol-

lowing DeviceNet ready components: PF-40 Variable Speed Drive,

PanelView 600, Photo Switch, Limit Switch, and Net DNI module. A

five (5) port EtherNet hub allows communications utilizing Ethernet.

A three-phase motor is also provided.

Future Tek’s Heat Pump Technology Training System connects via

USB to your laptop computer and includes our Troubleshooting Soft-

ware. The computer emulates each circuit and allows timed, interac-

tive troubleshooting. Fault selection may be made by the instructor

or randomly with the software provided.

In solving the inserted faults, the student takes voltage or resistance

readings with the leads provided. Once the problem is isolated, cor-

rective action is taken and the system retested to confirm recovery.

Each measurement and corrective action is automatically recorded. A

Detailed Student Report may be generated, specific for each student,

detailing by fault: the time utilized, the number of voltage and resis-

tance measurements performed, the number of components replaced,

and if the fault was corrected.
