GRADUATE ELECTIVE COURSE
• Created a 3-credit graduate level course titled “Evidence-based programs for older adults”• Trained students to be A Matter of Balance Coaches• Placed students at various community centers in Arlington, VA
• Students were grouped in interdisciplinary teams of 3• Delivered four (4) AMOB classes in Spring 2018
• Assignments included • Critical analysis of falls in older adults and implementation and
dissemination of evidence-based programs• Reflective journaling• Participation and Peer Evaluation

• Held a coach workshop for A Matter of Balance that integrated both students and community members
