• Aims: step change in philanthropy for higher education

• To incentivise more voluntary giving to HEIs• It’s a legitimate activity: institutions are exempt

charities• To promote a culture of giving (and asking) beyond

the lifetime of the scheme• Focused on middle band of HEIs• Investment: £200m + £10m = significant sums
