Today we had a visit from Miriam who is a musician. She came in to teach us about Caribbean rhythms and

particularly Cuban carnival style music. She showed us the instruments she plays which include the conga drum, the bongos amongst others. We danced, we chanted rhythms

and played in groups and then, at the very end, we performed a whole class piece.

You can see from our faces how much we enjoyed learning about Caribbean style music. Many of us have been inspired

to learn to play the drums ourselves!
