with executives in the room from both his company and the client. The pressure is on!
8:00 am What’s Bruce doing now?
Begins the day checking Yammer on his iPhone• He checks in on his project
team• He confirms the time of his
presentation• He reads about the
departure of long-time Sales Manager “Phil” from the company
Now in the office, Bruce puts the finishing touches on his sales presentation• Using PowerPoint and
Office 365• He includes data from
Dynamics• He gets feedback from
his peers on SharePoint
10:00 amWhat’s Bruce doing now?
Bruce continues to monitor his Yammer feed• Phil's going away party
starts at noon• It will be held in the
courtyard• His work friends will be
there• There will be Cake!
Bruce has finished his presentation and is off to the party• Presentation saved to
the cloud and Office 365
• Checks the Yammer feed, where is the courtyard?
• Photos of his office friends on Yammer, the cake is by the fountain. Let's go!
12:00 pm What’s Bruce doing now?
The cake is delicious but then disaster strikes• Contacts support through
Yammer on iPhone• Freaks out• Submits a help desk ticket
on SharePoint through mobile phone
• Runs back to his office short of time
Back at the office...• Bruce drops off his laptop with support• He runs to his desk and pulls out his iPad• He is able to access Office 365 from his
tablet and runs through his presentation on the way to the meeting
• On Yammer his work friends are asking if he is going to be okay...he is ignoring them all!
12:00 pmWhat’s Bruce doing now?
In the sale client meeting• Bruce completes his
presentation on the iPad from Office 365
• Bruce receives a private message from IT on Yammer, "Your laptop is hosed but on the bright side we found several dollars in changed jammed in the DVD drive.“
• During the meeting Bruce accesses helpful sales documents in SharePoint to address questions.
2:00 pmWhat’s Bruce doing now?
After the meeting...• On Yammer friends are
asking how it went • They share photos of
the cake they saved for him
• Bruce saves his presentation to the sales team's collaboration site on SharePoint for others to use
• Bruce uses his iPad to update sales information on Dynamics
After the meeting...• The client loved it!• Congratulatory messages roll in on Yammer from
peers and managers• Accessing SharePoint, Bruce sees slides from his
desk on the intranet• A message arrives in his email from Dynamics
indicating the client opportunity has been won• With Office 365 and SharePoint he is able to
begin working on contracts from his iPad.
4:00 pmWhat’s Bruce doing now?
On the way home...• Bruce receives an email from his boss offering him
the Sales Manager job vacated by Phil!• IT has found a new, even better, laptop and it will
be waiting for him in his corner office tomorrow morning.
