LYNNE EDWARDS
FOR MORE THAN twenty years now I have been teaching patchwork and quilting to eager and enthusiastic students in a village hall in Chelsworth, an idyllic village in Suffolk. The first batch enrolled as beginners to do a year-long course to make a sampler quilt which hopefully would set them up with the skills and confidence to tackle their own projects and designs. I thought they would say thank you nicely and walk off into the sunset at the end of the course, but no – they refused to leave! They had learned, bonded with fellow students, enjoyed the creative space in the hall and
