out to avoid the heels of Miss Maggiebeel.
Aurora Miss - fourth placegetter; correct weight was further delayed when Stewards viewed
the film on behalf of connections before deciding not to lodge an objection. After obtaining a
neat run to the inside of Tears Of Joy passing the 200m was eased when crowded for room
near the 100m by Tears Of Joy (Mark Zahra) which shifted in slightly before then being
straightened. Mark Zahra was severely reprimanded for failing to straighten sooner than he
did.
Dubrovnik - connections advised would be ridden forward due to being up in distance;
initially settled outside the leader before gaining cover near the 1200m. Rider Craig Williams
reported the mare pulled hard in the run and failed to respond to his riding. A post race
veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Are The Bungs In - commenced awkwardly before shifting out and brushing Rather Heroic
and becoming unbalanced. Commenced a run three wide from the 700m.
Miss Maggiebeel - raced wide through the early and middle stages before obtaining a

out passing the 500m. Approaching the 100m had difficulty obtaining clear running for a

Celeritas before being eased to avoid the heels of Sheree.
Not A Happy Camper - Stewards questioned rider Katelyn Mallyon regarding her tactics in
the early stages when the mare settled at the rear of the field. She explained she was
instructed to be positive and take a forward position if possible, but if unable to do so, then
ease from the wide gate and take up a position with cover. She advised that after beginning
reasonably well she then elected to ease and settle back due to the inside speed. She added the
mare felt flat tonight. Stewards notified Katelyn Mallyon that whilst she had drawn the
outside barrier, given the instructions, she was entitled to be more positive from the barrier
than she displayed in an attempt to give the mare the best opportunity to position more
forward. Co-trainer Mr Simon Zahra confirmed the instructions and added the mare may now
be spelled. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off foreleg
and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
