HEY TEENS AND ADULT ALLIES! The annual Teen Summit is End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin’s (End Abuse) largest training and event. Bringing youth, parents, educators, activists and mentors from all over Wisconsin to learn about healthy relationships, teen dating violence, and sexual assault within a larger anti-oppression framework. It will be a celebration of our many successes, as well as, a time to revive nd strengthen ourselves and our movement. We welcome attendees to challenge preconceived notions on how to deal with these issues and learn new strategies for successful prevention and education on teen issues.
TEENS The Teen Summit (Summit) is created with you in mind! A HUGE thank you to End Abuse’s Teen Council members who shared their voices and talents to help this Summit happen! It’s so important that many teens from around the state provide valuable input on all aspects of this conference. This teen led conference is about creating safe spaces to connect, discuss important topics, and have fun! With a variety of workshops, roundtable discussions, dance party, and open mic talent to keep everyone engaged throughout the Summit!
ADULT ALLIES While the focus of this Summit is on teens and hearing their voices, there are a lot of opportunities for adults working or living with teens. We thank you for being there, for helping create this space for youth, and for taking time out of your schedules to come to the Summit and continue your own journey as a youth mentor.
FROM THE TEEN COUNCIL
THE TEEN SUMMIT PROMISES TO:
• Decrease barriers for teens and adult mentors to attend by providing language interpreters and as many scholarships and meals that funding will allow.
• Empower youth to become leaders by incorporatingmore youth voices, offering a variety of youth led work-
shops, having relevant keynote speakers, and leave with contacts & resources to utilize in their communities.
• Network opportunities to connect with others with icebreakers, group engagement, and an afterhours teenspace.
• Encourage intergenerational power sharing by outreach- ing to parents and educators, as well as, providing
spaces for youth and adults to connect in meaningful ways.
• Highlight intersectionality within the gender violencemovement by centering queer people of color, womenof color, queer folks, and people of color.

There are two types of roundtables at the Teen Summit; youth
roundtables and adult roundtables. The youth led roundtables are
spaces that have been intentionally created to allow for youth,
under the age of 21, to connect with their peers on a specific topic
they have experience with or are curious to hear more about.
These spaces are for youth and facilitated by youth. There will
be only one trusted adult allowed in the space for support and
conversations are confidential. There are also concurrent adult
led roundtables as well for anyone 21 and older. These spaces are
specifically for dialogue, self-reflection and relationship building.
We hope you enjoy and can change the way you see or understand
the topic presented. We will have 2 sessions for roundtables on
Tuesday. The topics will be the same for each roundtable session.
