Key Themes in our knowledge of place and space.• We all centred Europe & Africa on our maps. Traditionalists. • Continents are generally in the right place• Europe & North America is well represented and accurate• Africa is not (Mandela & Mugabe are common themes liked to study)• The further East & West you go, the more errors are found in countr

shapes and spatial distribution. • Many connection links refer to colonisation and MEDC inventions. • Remote Geography generally refers to well known landmarks e.g.

Everest & Rocky Mountains• Maps represent experiences e.g. UK, Spain and Brazil drawn well but

also bigger than they actually are….. More important??
