THE SORTING OF PLASTIC HOUSEHOLD WASTE WILL COME NATURALLY TO CONSUMERS. Consumers’ ecological awareness has increased in recent years. Therefore, environmentally-conscious cities and municipalities offer their citizens the opportunity to sort their plastic household waste via the municipal associations. 1.5 million Belgians already collect 15,000 tons of plastic waste via container parks or house-to-house collections. At ECO-oh!, we recycle this plastic into valuable raw materials that we then process into sustainable products for the garden, construction and public areas.

A fresh breeze is blowing through the world of recycling. While there is more plastic household waste, from the kitchen to the garden, around than ever before, consumers increasingly consider the sorting of their plastic waste to be a matter of course. Moreover, citizens don’t understand if they are not offered the opportunity to sort when they know it is technically and economically feasible. That’s why we at ECO-oh! have invested in additional recycling capacity, innovative applications, and the new ECO-oh! brand name.
In our unique factory in Houthalen (Belgium), mixed plastic household waste is processed into valuable raw materials in the most ecological and cost-effective way without pre-sorting.Thanks to innovations in technology and product development, these raw materials can now be processed into an unlimited number of sustainable products for gardens, parks and public areas. That is why we want to continue to inspire citizens, cities and towns to sort their plastic household waste, because recycling is something we do together.

A BENCH WITH A VISIONThis bench uses the plastic waste that has been collected by a family of 4 over a period of 4 years. A bench made out of yoghurt pots, butter tubs and plastic bags, a bench that is 100% recyclable. By designing furniture and other things for public areas, consumers can enjoy the result of their sorting. This is how we want to continue to inspire citizens, along with cities and municipalities, to carry on sorting their plastic household waste.
