He also credits his ability to listen as a crucial strength. As to factors that led to his success, Tony said: It was a long process. Jollibee became what it has become now because of the hard work and determination of people working towards the achievement of our vision. Jollibee is an organization of people who have imbibed our values of integrity, honesty, humility and frugality.

Being named Entrepreneur of the World has also given Tony new impetus. After winning the award, I realized that I had a responsibility to inspire and motivate the youth and other aspiring entrepreneurs. The award was not only for myself but it is something I share with everyone. Getting the trophy is just one thing. The real award is having your work shape and move countless lives.
