I've been using HootSuite for about... 24 hours now, which means I must be

at least an advanced user if not an expert right?

I've been using HootSuite for about... 24 hours now, which means I must be

at least an advanced user if not an expert right?

Well that's clearly wrong but my point is, I have no prior experience or knowledge of HootSuite but I'm now queueing up posts for the entire week and worrying a lot less about posting content on time!

A little background;

I want to Tweet at least once a day, and I want at least one of my daily Tweets to be something that I think can help someone in their career or development.

This means the majority of my Tweets are curated from other sources such as LinkedIn, The Muse, Inc.com and Twitter itself.

Curation takes time as I have to read multiple posts and articles to find the ideal posts to share with others, so I tend to have a lot of catching up to do before I can even share anything which leads me to my two biggest concerns...

Page 5: Too Busy To Tweet Queue It Up With HootSuite

“Have I got something interesting for my audience to follow?”

“If I post at the wrong time will my audience even see it?”

There are many useful features of HootSuite which I won't go into here as I'm sure you will be able to find a wealth of articles and guides (including a REALLY helpful book I just read that you can get here)

What I'm getting at is...

WHY should you use HootSuite?

Now I don't know much about the ideal time to post on Twitter, and there are many articles saying different things, but you can use the AutoSchedule feature and pick the timeframe you want it to go out in.

1.Queue up posts for later

If my audience is anything like me (and why not, they are following me after all), then they'll appreciate having a regular time slot to expect to see the Tweets that got them following me in the first place.

2.Schedule for specific times

Page 9: Too Busy To Tweet Queue It Up With HootSuite

Stop, don’t send that Tweet!Sometimes you can write something that seems perfect at the time, but having scheduled posts gives you time to reflect.

HootSuite lets you edit any scheduled posts right up to the minute before they are sent out, although the time will have to be rescheduled at least 5 minutes in the future if you do this or sent straight away.

3.Edit scheduled posts

Depending on your content, some posts can be thought of as “evergreen”, they can be read at any time and still be relevant.

You can queue up several posts like this as far in advance as you like and fall back on them if you have nothing new to share.

4.Stockpile posts

Page 11: Too Busy To Tweet Queue It Up With HootSuite

This gives me the freedom to read through articles in my own time and then simply queue them up so the posts are spread out over time no matter when I finish reading them.

No hassle, no fuss and with no training my Tweeting life is much easier thanks to this great post scheduling tool!
