The World's Top Airlines in 2014

Overview of Report Released by Skytrax

• The annual World Airlines Award announcement

came at the Farnborough International Air Show in

the UK for the year 2014.

• The awards are based on research by Skytrax.

Skytrax World Airline Rating was introduced in 1999

and is the leading, global Airline Rating system

classifying airlines by the Quality of front-line

product and staff service standards.

The Skytrax is non-profit and unbiased organization,

vote.

The SMH stated that the Skytrax Awards has taken the

views from nearly 19 million airline travelers from

160 nations globally to put together the ranking

results.

the second time, coming in at number 11. Last year

Qantas ranked 10th, and its highest position was in

2008 when it was named third in the world.

The set back in Qantas Airline is due to the last year

bad experience of turning back of the flight when a

water pipe leaked from the deck of a plane in the

flight of Los Angeles to Melbourne.

Malaysian Airline, formerly included in top 10 airlines

for

three various times, suffered from quick reduction in

ranking that’s 18th now.

The set back in Qantas Airline is due to the issue of

in ranking after getting first position in 2013.
