10. “The Duff”

• The Duff is a new comedy focused on the lives of a few teenagers and their crazy lifestyle working their way through high school

• A classic storyline of young adults finally starting to find themselves, and transform themselves into who they want to be

• The DUFF recorded $2.9 million at the box office last weekend

9. “American Sniper”

• The movie that captures the storied career of Navy Seals sniper Chris Kyle still rakes in viewers week after week

• The gritty war film directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Bradley Cooper brought to life the horrors of war and the split second decisions that are made on the battlefield

• The blockbuster hit brought in another $2.9 million this past weekend as well

8. “McFarland, USA”

• The inspirational story of a cross country coach (Kevin Costner) facilitating the passion for the sport of running to youth athletes

• The story is based on the 1987 cross-country team that was f rom a ma in l y Mex ican-American high school located in California

• The movie raked in another $3.7 million since its February 20 release

7. “The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water”

• The second Spongebob movie to hit the big screen and doesn't disappoint the younger crowd

• The popu la r n i cke lodeon character with his band of misfit friends continue their cartoonish hijinks again, except this time, on land

• After the group goes in search for a missing secret recipe they wind up above the waves in this children’s comedy

• The movie brought in $4.1 million this past weekend

6. “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”

• Bringing in $5.7 million this past weekend, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel has shown its worth among a niche audience

• The movie is based around a young hotelier as he prepares for his wedding

• The hotelier tries to expand his business in the process of everything else going on to provide for a dynamic and interesting piece

5. “Chappie”

• The art ific ia l inte l l igence blockbuster makes its mark on the box office for another week

• Chappie was last weeks top film and is no surprise coming from Neill Blomkamp, the director of the sci-fi thriller “District 9”

• The movie recorded another $5.8 million in the box office

4. “Focus”

• Will Smith and Margot Robbie team up in this slightly romantic-comedy/high intensity picture as two con-artists looking to hit their biggest score ever

• The duo will find out however that the stakes may be higher than they expect

• Focus brought in another $5.8 mi l l ion and $13.5 mi l l ion internationally

3. “Kingsman: The Secret Service”

• This British secret agent action movie is jam packed with a d v e n t u re a n d p l e n t y o f explosions

• The movie follows Gary Unwin a misguided youth in his road to become a super secret agent with the British government

• The Kingsmen agency faces off against none other than Samuel Jackson himself as the lead protagonist

• The blockbuster feature brought in another $6.2 million last weekend

2. “Run All Night”

• Liam Neeson stars in yet another action film where he shoots down countless bad guys and evades even more bullets himself

• The thriller follows Neeson throughout the hard streets of New York City as he attempts to protect his estranged son from a murderous crime lord

• T h e fi l m h a s n o t b e e n performing that well since its release but did bring in $11 million last weekend

1. “Cinderella”

• The classic fairytale reigns supreme this week as it rough it a staggering $70.1 million into the box office

• Disney truly showed it’s might in this revamped version of every little girls dream

• Cinderella stars Lily James and Richard Madden, formerly of Game of Thrones

• The film cost about $95 million to make and has also brought in $62. 4 million from international theaters
