Your acads are good and so are GRE and TOEFL score. Admission in top 50

universities doesn’t only depend on these stuffs. Projects, Extra/Co – Curricular

Activities, Work Experience, Internships, SOP, LORs and other stuffs are also taken

into consideration. Plus we don’t even know which specialization you are opting

for.

Have a look at this link.

After reading the article, Better come up with an initial list of universities you are

interested in with your Specialization and we could evaluate your Profile better.!

Hope this helps

I have an admit from Washington University in St. Louis, There is not comment

against it (I am assuming, there is nothing out-standing to note). Also it is really

expensive in compare. Is it worth spending so much on it?

i have a GRE score of 316 and a CGPA of 6.0/10.Which universities do i have a chance

of getting admission into for a Ms in Computers science

18/06/2013 at 12:53 PM

Chirag

GRE Score is good. CGPA is on a lower side. Well try universities which are in top

50-100.! Chances are very less that you crack the Top 50 ones because the acads

are on a lower side.!

And well if you have Publications, Internships, Good Projects and a real good SOP,

then it can do wonders.!

Can you suggest some universities for MS in CS?

GRE – 311 (V-144, Q-167)

IELTS – 7

Acads – 74% (Btech in Mechanical)

Job Experience – 2 years as Software Engineer

How are my chances in getting admissions in Top 50 universities in your list ?

Also are there any other extra requirements that I have to fulfill as am opting for CS

though my graduation is in Mech ?

Thanks in advance,

Santhosh Aitha

Chirag

You ll need some real good SOP to explain why are you switching from Mech to

CS.! I can’t comment that which universities you can get as you are from Mech

and well when the universities will admit you, you would need to take certain

Undergrad Courses such as OS, Database etc which will increase the cost of

education!

But as you have work ex as software engg, you should be okay! Can try USC, ASU

etc
