TOPolino Automatic SNG News System
SatService provides a very compact and low weight fully remote controlled Satellite News Gathering System that
can be universally mounted on any car able to handle 100kg roof load. The SNG station consists of a 1.0m high
performance antenna, 50W BUC/SSPA, Antenna Control System, MPEG2 or 4 Video/Audio Encoder, IRD and the
sat-nms VLC Monitoring & Control System. The
antenna is fully electrically motorized and can be
electrically positioned in elevation, azimuth and the
polarization axis. With the help of the antenna
controller and the sat-nms VLC Software, an
automatic satellite identification and pointing
system is included performing everything
automatically. The key feature of the system is not
only the auto acquisition of the satellite but also the
accurate pointing to the satellite to fulfill the cross-
polar requirements of the satellite operators. Also
unusual polarization offsets (skew angle) of satellites
are taken into account. The stations are fully remote
controlled from a central network management
system that also makes use of the sat-nms NMS
software. A GSM connection between the sat-nms
VLC and the central NMS is used as MNC control
