Torque Multipliers increase speed andproductivity, as it is faster than a hydraulicwrench and is less expensive. Designedto deliver smooth torque control, with continuous rotation, these torquemultipliers eliminate the cumbersome setup time and slow ratcheting process ofhydraulic wrenches.

Mountz Torque Multipliers vs.Impact Wrenches -Impact wrenches are destructive by naturewith its hammering design. Thesetools are not ergonomically friendly toan operator and require a highmaintenance budget. Mountz torquemultipliers are ergonomically safer thanthe harmful hammering of impactwrenches and eliminates frequently costlyrepairs of impact wrenches.

In nearly every heavy industrial application,turning threaded fasteners, nuts and boltsis generally viewed by two criteria:(1) The need to fasten tightly enough toprevent movement of parts and achievea good seal without exceeding thefastener s elasticity level.(2) Successful removal of fasteners afterlong periods of environmental exposureto harsh conditions.

Selecting the right heavy torque tool forthe job is crucial. When it comes toturning nuts and bolts, especially stubborncorroded ones, what could be more basicthan power?

You need controlled power. That is, controlled torque, which providessmooth torque, with continuous rotation.Otherwise, you could outdo yourself andstrip threads, break bolt heads or evencause personal injury.

PNEUMATIC MULTIPLIERSDesigned for precision tightening andloosening of all heavy duty fasteningconnections the pneumatic multipliersare non-impacting and operate at asmooth, continuous rotation. Using the PTT-2000 Bolt Audit Model with HSD, thesystem is designed for auditing a fastener for a test such asdetermining relaxation after a fastener has been tightened.The purpose of the bolt audit function is to report thedegree of movement from the initial torque threshold to thefinal torque threshold. The PTT will display the finaltorque threshold and the total angle displacement, whichhas occurred from the initial torque threshold and finaltorque threshold.

Torque and Angle can be monitored or pre-set using the PTTinconjunction with the transducerized multiplier.
