CustomerSatisfaction
TBI was founded in 1989. Initially named Tosoh Medics, the company was formed as a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Tosoh Corporation to market and support clinical diagnostic analyzers in the U.S.
A small team of TBI employees worked tirelessly to launch the company’s first product: the AIA-1200 Automated Immunoassay Analyzer. According to Director of Operations Reggie Vallotton, “In the beginning we all had to wear multiple hats. Because we had minimal employees, every person had to become well-versed in various aspects of the business.”
Vallotton, TBI’s fourth employee, was hired as Regional Manager during the company’s first week of business in 1989. He took on any necessary role including service, sales, marketing and customer support. When asked about reasons for the success of TBI, he stated, “Reliability of the instruments, along with steadfast dedication to customer support has allowed us to compete with companies much larger.”
After twenty five years of diligent work, TBI has expanded to over 85 employees, and has established a proven reputation for providing high quality diagnostic systems to doctor’s offices, hospitals and reference laboratories.
